Alma Café is a second-generation, independently run family business and a much-loved home for live music, arts and community in Rosebank, Cape Town.
The Tait family took ownership of the historic building in 2004, and in 2009 Richard and Retha Tait brought together their passion for hospitality and live music to create the Alma Café we know today.
For more than 16 years, Alma has remained committed to creating a space where artists and audiences can connect in an intimate, welcoming setting.
Through music, food, culture and community, we believe that keeping live music alive is a community service.
Today, that spirit continues with live shows, intimate dinners, quiz nights, open mic sessions, live sport and special events.
